Quitman travels to West Ouachita this Friday for a girls and boys prep basketball matchup that is featured as the Downs Law Firm High School Basketball game of the Week, sponsored by Rocketfast.

Thanks to local sponsors, Jackson Parish Journal, People’s Bank and Dodson Enterprises you can catch both the varsity games on KMLB 540 AM and 105.7 FM. Three games are on tap beginning with junior varsity boys action at 5:00 pm. Varsity  girls and boys action follows.

The girls and boys from each school enter the contest with similar records. The Lady Wolverines bring the best record in Jackson Parish at 15-7 and the highest ranking, sitting at #8 among Division V among “non-select” schools. Host West Ouachita is at 6-13 overall. The Quitman boys also lead Jackson Parish in wins and ranking with a 14-7 mark and a #12 ranking. West Ouachita, out of District 2-5A has a 6-11 record.
