Teresia Lane Walker Boddie
September 19, 1966 – February 12, 2024
Teresia Walker Boddie went home to be with her Savior on February 12, 2024. Teresia was born on September 19, 1966 to Charles and Elaine Walker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy T Boddie, and her son, Sam Henderson.
Teresia was known by those closest to her as Momma, “Red”, “Aunt Red”, and “Teresia Lane”. She was a very uniquely wonderful person. Known for her expressive personality, you never had to wonder very much about what she was thinking, how she was feeling, or what her opinion on something was. She could give you a look, and it say exactly what she meant. She was quick witted and well spoken. Her wit was very clear about what she thought and how she felt. She could be an intimidating person, but all who knew her knew she was a very loving person. She loved and cared with a depth beyond words. Once you got in with Red, you knew you were in for life. She may tell you something that you didn’t want to hear, but she meant it with love.
She served with the Jackson Parish Sheriff’s Department for 25 years and 9 months, until her recent retirement. She took pride in her work with the Sheriff’s Department, and she did her best to ensure the job was always done right. Teresia was a loving momma, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She loved her family and friends unconditionally.
Teresia’s Celebration of Life service was held at First Baptist Church on Thursday, February 15th. Interment followed at Bear Creek Cemetery in Bienville, LA under the direction of Paradise Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
