After serving the residents of Jackson Parish well for nearly 18 years, the “retired” Jackson Parish Library Bookmobile will soon be on the road again. This time it will be those who live in Union County, Arkansas that will be the benefactor as this past week, Union County Library officials came to Jonesboro to pick up their newest edition.

“I can’t tell you how happy we are that our old bookmobile will be in use again,” said Jackson Parish Library Director Floyd Knox. “We hate to say goodbye, but we are honored to give another library the opportunity to love it as much as we do.”

Union County Library was awarded the Bookmobile following a special meeting of the JPL Board of Controls which agreed to the amount of $15,000.00 that was highest amount offered in the bid process.
