The Jonesboro-Hodge Elementary is proud to have partnered with United Way Region 8 for a “Community Conversation” with Mayor Harris on Tuesday, March 19th. With J-HES Principal, Danielle Copeland and United Way Region 8 Representative, Michelle Saucer on hand, fourth graders Lainey Elmore and Autumn Kohler, along with reigning JPSD Elementary Student of the Year, Brady Malone, discussed topics that concerned them. Mayor Harris also informed the students about town infrastructure, economic development, and gun violence.

“I am very proud of our students for vocalizing their concerns, solutions, and aspirations for the Town of Jonesboro. Our partnership with United Way is beneficial to our current and prospective Student (s) of the Year. It creates experiences that students can expound on during their interview, which is an LDOE requirement.”  said J-HES Principal Copeland.
