It is a well known fact that Caney Lake is full of bass. On Saturday, March 23rd, it will be full of boats as well as over 200 two person teams of prep anglers will take part in “Hawg Fest” 2024. The tournament which has 168 senior high teams and 38 junior division teams registered is the North Qualifier #3 tournament for the LHSAA state championship tournament. 

Louisiana High School Bass Fishing would like to give special thanks to the “Ladies of the Lake” who will host a jambalaya lunch during the weigh in and Rhea’s Specialty Meats for cooking and providing the food. Also a debt of gratitude is owed to the Jackson Parish Tourism Commission for the $1,000.00 donation they made as well as providing advertising for the event.
