
Duke Tew and Dakota Knox got two hits, scored two runs and stole three bases each and Trey Trosclair knocked in two, stole a base and scored one as JHHS snapped their nine game losing streak with a 7-0 victory over winless Lincoln Prep. Logan Smith allowed just two hits and threw the first shut out of his career to get the victory.
Lakeview 7 JHHS 0: Seven runs by Lakeview in the fourth through sixth innings left the Tigers still searching for their first 3-2A victory of the year. Trey Trosclair, Marquis Baker and Pierce Ulloa got the three hits the Tigers managed and Dakota Knox got hit by a pitch two times. Trosclair was the hard luck loser giving up just four hits and allowing only 3 earned runs in his best pitching performance of the year. The Tigers are now 2-14 overall and 0-4 in district 3-2A play.
Lady Tigers still searching for first victory
With losses to Lakeview and Downsville, the Lady Tigers saw their season long losing streak stretch to 13 games. Lakeview won by a 23-2 score to close out the JH’s district season with on 0-4 record, while Downsville pitching didn’t allow a hit in the 18-0, three inning victory.
