The congregation of the Jonesboro-Hodge Methodist Church and visitors from New Hope Methodist in Dodson got their spirit, soul and stomach full this past Sunday as a good old fashioned “eating meeting” was held.
The gathering was in part as a welcoming to new pastor, Gary Green, and also a celebration of the beginning of JHMC’s venture into independence after leaving the United Methodist Conference.
After Pastor Green led a spirit filled service, everyone gathered in the Fellowship Hall and enjoyed grilled burgers and chicken compliments of Rick and Julie Shrubb. Adding to the feast was a wide variety of dishes and desserts prepared by members of the church.
Jonesboro-Hodge Methodist Church is located at the corner of 4th Street and Cooper Avenue in Jonesboro. Pastor Green and JHMC members invite you to come worship with them on Sundays. Service begins at 11:00 am.

Sounds like a great “old fashion preaching/eating Sunday. Love the pictures! Glad to see that folks from Dodson/New Hope attended.
