
Delmer Maxwell, Sr.
July 20, 1938 – May 23, 2024
Delmer Maxwell, Sr. passed away at his home on Thursday, May 23, 2024. He was 85 years old. Delmer was a hard worker all of his life, holding such jobs as a logger, farmer and driller. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing. The joy of his life however, was spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Delmer is survived by: Daughter – Judy Horton & Loryn, Son – Delmer Maxwell, Jr., Daughter – Debbie Dillon & Bobby, Son – John Maxwell, Sr. & Tisha; A Host of Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchildren; Siblings – Tricia Myers & Bobby, Brenda Williams, Cathy Greer & Charles, Elton Maxwell & Navonda, Dale Maxwell & Donna and Bobby Maxwell & Jo Ann.
He was preceded in death by his Father – Odell Maxwell; Mother – Irene (Batonfield) Maxwell; Wife – Louise Maxwell; Grandson – Steven Dale Maxwell; Brother – Jimmy Maxwell; Sister – Barbara Dispenzia; and Sister – Lettiress Carr.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 26, 2024 in the Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro. Bro. Geary Phillips and Bro. Lance Huckaby will officiate. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories in Jonesboro.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Jack Dillon, Jr., Cameron Dillon, Gage Hassian, Jeremy Maxwell, Michael Maxwell, Chris Maxwell, Chase Maxwell and John Maxwell, Jr.
Kymberly Annette Toms Coker
July 20, 1963 – May 19, 2024
Kymberly Annette Toms Coker was born on July 20, 1963 and passed from her earthly life on May 19, 2024 at the age of 60 following a period of declining health.
Kym enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Jerry Coker; her daughter Destiny LeBlanc and Ryan; and daughter Jessie Wise; grandchildren Layton, Maddie and Paisley Wise; mother Ann Toms; sister Monica Hedgepeth and Gatlin and their children Loyann and Jaxton; brother Donald Toms and Kelly and their children Christian, Lance and Chance. Also her very best friend of 43 years Becky Ledbetter.
Preceding her in death was her father Donald Toms, grandparents Murry and Mildred Toms; Kenneth and Irene Jones; cousins Angie Hollard, Marty Toms, Kenneth Toms, Tommy Toms, Melissa, Charlene Womack and several aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, June 1st, at Friendship Baptist Church.
Mildred Louise Ryals
November 22, 1936 – May 22, 2024
Mildred Louise (Goodwin) Ryals was a devoted Wife, Mother, Mamaw and Friend. Most of all, she was a servant of God who blessed us with this precious angel on earth. Mildred was born on Nov 22, 1936 in St. Clair County, Alabama. She passed into Heaven on May 22, 2024. She was 87 years old. Mildred married Kenneth Ryals on July 20, 1955 and they were together for 59 years, until his death on July 29, 2014.
She is survived by her sons, Barry Ryals (Rebecca), Greg Ryals(Lynda); daughter, Anita Waggoner (Jimmy); Grandchildren, Dillion Ryals(April), Faline Keller(Will), Macy Waggoner, and Christopher Waggoner; Great Grandchildren, Kennedi Ryals, Mila Ryals, Renli Ryals, Tristan Keller and Sawyer Keller
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ryals; infant son, Randy Ryals; parents, Griffin & Lucille Goodwin; brother, Ellis Goodwin; and sister, Mary Sue Perry.
The funeral service was held on Saturday, May 25 at Caney Lake Baptist with Bro. Johnny Smith officiating. Burial followed in Chatham Cemetery under the direction of Southern Edmonds Funeral Home.
