On June 24th, 2024, Laura Culpepper, with husband Todd alongside, stood in front of Judge Rick Warren and took the Oath of Office as Clerk of Court for Jackson Parish, officially designating the beginning of her third term in office on July 1st. Following, Culpepper then presided over giving the Oath of Office to her staff.
Culpepper released the following statement and pictures of the proceedings on her Facebook page on Friday, July 13th.
Being sworn in as an elected public official is one of the most humbling experiences a person can have. On June 24, I, along with my deputies, took an oath of office to begin a new term on July 1, 2024. Once again, I am so honored to have the privilege of serving Jackson Parish as your Clerk of Court.
I want to say a special “thank you” to Honorable Rick Warren, Judge, for administering the oath to me. Also, I am deeply grateful and so blessed to serve with the best deputy clerks of court in the state. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Tanya Norred, Rachel Shively, Wendy Gaines, Dodie Ford, and Gay Maxwell for all that you do for our office and for me. They may be small in number, but what they accomplish each day to serve the public and our court system does not go unnoticed. I am so appreciative of their dedication and devotion to the Clerk of Court office and to me.
Last, but certainly not least, thank you to the citizens of Jackson Parish for your continued support and confidence in me as your Clerk of Court. Please feel free to call on me or any of my staff at any time we can be of service to you. As I have always said, this is “your office” and we are here to serve you! Thank you, again, for this opportunity to be of service to the wonderful people of Jackson Parish.
Laura H. Culpepper
