The Jackson Parish Tourism Board announced the winners of the 2024 Art Contest on Friday at a reception held in honor or all the participants at the Jonesboro Branch of the Jackson Parish Library. 

Winning “Best of Show” was Laura Arnold of Quitman High School for her beautiful display of a horse and rider. The award marks the second time this year that Arnold has won an art contest, previously being selected as winner of the US District 5 Congressional Art Contest earlier in the year. 

All of the artwork that was submitted by area youth and judged in the grade classifications of K-3, 4-6, 7-8 and 9-12 will be on display at the Jonesboro Branch throughout the month of September.
