When the 2024 Jonesboro-Hodge football schedule first came out, head coach Terrance Blankenship mentally noted that the toughest test his team would face this season would probably be on Friday, October 11th.
Five weeks into the season, that is still true.
Haynesville is as good as they were expected to be and so far the cream of the crop in District 1-1A and one of the top teams in the Division IV power ratings for “non-select” schools.
Jonesboro-Hodge heads into the matchup full of confidence though after gaining their first win of the season last week in impressive fashion, by turning back a concerted effort by Arcadia.
“No question Haynesville presents a strong challenge,” said JHHS head coach Terrance Blankenship. “They are very talented and well coached but we are looking forward to going in there and see if we can surprise some people.”
Game time is set for 7:00 pm.
