Jackson Parish Watershed Commission President, Gary Joynor, announces that the Caney Lake Spillway are will soon have a picnic pavilion available for public use. Funding for the new addition is being provided by Jonesboro State Bank Pledge 10 and the Jackson Parish Tourism Board and construction is expected to begin in 2-3 weeks, weather permitting. 

“I can not thank Jonesboro State Bank Pledge 10 and the Jackson Parish Tourism Board enough for funding this project,” said Joynor. “I am very grateful we have organizations that are always willing to help and give back to the community.”

According to Joynor, the long term goal is that the pavilion will be the first of three as funding comes in.
