The annual contest is in honor of Pullin, who was the guidance counselor at QHS and was the head coach of the three-time, LHSAA state champion Quitman High School golf team in 2005-07. The wife of Ross Pullin, who had two sons, Brad and Matt, succumbed to cancer in 2012.
