
Jonesboro-Hodge scored five runs in both the first and second innings and then held off a determined Lincoln Prep rally for a 10-8 victory, their second straight 1-1A softball victory of the season. With the victory, JHHS improved to 2-1 in district play and 2-4 overall.
Ma’Riyah Jones got two hits and scored twice as did Alaina Ashcraft and Kynnedi Aaron. Satavia Qualls chipped in with a hit, 2 RBI and a run scored while Sierra Bond, Oddyssey Brooks and Alivia Anderson, who also stole 3 bases and got the pitching victory, all scored a run.
JHHS baseball wins first on the road

Jonesboro-Hodge scored 8 runs in the top of the sixth inning to break away from Alexandria Country Day 19-9 for their first victory on the road this season on Thursday, that pushed the Tigers record to 5-3 on the season. The Tigers amassed 17 hits in the contest, paced by Waylon Evans, Marquis Baker and Jeermichael Collins getting three hits each. Pierce Ulloa, Trey Trosclair, and John Michael LaBlance, who led the JHHS offense with 3 RBI all chipped in with two hits each.
Next Up! JHHS will look to make it a clean sweep of the series when they travel to Wossman High School out of Monroe on Tuesday. First pitch is slated for 5:00 pm.
