The Louisiana High School Coaches Association (LHSCA) has announced the selections for the 2025 LHSCA All-Star games that will be played May 16-17 at the Ward 10 Complex in Rapides Parish.
Defending 2024 Division V state champion and the top-ranked team in Class B in 2025, Quitman High School, will have two representatives on the East All-Star squad in LSU signee and reigning Class B Most Valuable Player, Cali Deal and 2024 Division V Coach of the Year, Justin Dodson.
Deal earned the selection via her tremendous ability in the pitching circle as well as at the plate. The lanky lefty compiled a 9-4 record in the circle against one of the strongest schedules in the state while posting an 1.488 ERA and striking out 139 batters in only 84. 667 innings. On offense, Deal hit a robust .373 during the regular season with 10 doubles, 3 home runs, 19 RBI and 23 runs.
After leading Quitman to the state title game the last two years, including winning the Division V title last year, Dodson has once again led the Lady Wolverines to a top ranking in Class B with a deceptive 17-10 record and the #1 seed in the LHSAA playoffs.
