
Quitman High School finished in second place in the team competition in the LHSAA Division IV Regional Golf Tournament played at the Club at Huntington Park Golf Course in Shreveport.
Under the tutelage of coaches April Simonelli and Lance Seymore, the five-man team of Payton Nomey, Noah Leach, Hudson Pullig, Kase West, and Grant Williams now sets their sights on defending their 2024 LHSAA Division IV state title on May 5-6 at Cane Row Golf Course in New Iberia.
The Wolverines turned in a 334 aggregate score, led by Peyton Nomey firing a one-over par score of 73, which tied him for the individual scoring title with Alan Roebuck of Cedar Creek, who won the team title with a score of 326.
