Earlier in the year, JHHS graduate Christian McGuire accepted an academic scholarship totalling nearly $300,000.00 from Tulane University, long known as one of the most respected institutions of higher learning in the United States.

As a testament to McGuire’s unique blend of tremendous aptitude combined with extraordinary athletic ability, the MileSplit LA All State sprinter has now also been asked to run track for the Green Wave. 

“We are all very happy that Christian has this opportunity to continue his athletic career while also being able to pursue his chosen career path at such a prestigious university,” said JHHS head football and track coach Terrance Blankenship. “Kids like Christian don’t come around very often. He left a great legacy for not only our athletes but our student body in general to attempt to achieve.”
