
Judy (Knotts) Davis
June 28, 1941 – September 29, 2025

Judith Carolyn “Judy” Knotts Davis entered into her Lord and Savior’s presence on Monday, September 29, 2025. Judy was born on June 28, 1941, in Mt. Olive, LA.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Keete Loyd Knotts, Sr. and Letha Holland Knotts; her first husband, Carl Hammons; her second husband, Bill Davis; and her oldest brother, Keete Loyd Knotts, Jr.
Survivors include her brother, Angus Jesse (Dorothy) Knotts of Doyline, LA; sister-in-law, Janis Knotts of Haughton, LA; three nieces – Pat Millican, Ann Meyer, and Jessica Crews; and a host of great nieces and nephews.
Judy graduated from Louisiana Tech University with an Associate Degree and began her career working as a legal secretary for Judge David Caldwell, 2nd Judicial District – Jackson Parish. Upon Judge Caldwell’s retirement, Judy continued her legal secretarial expertise working for different law offices in Jonesboro over the next 40+ years. Judy attended First Baptist Church of Jonesboro and was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan.
The funeral service was held on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro with Bro. Trey Etheridge officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Olive East Cemetery near Quitman, under the direction of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers wwa Danny Collinsworth, Todd Culpepper, Judge Jeff Robinson, Patrick Staggs, Danny Sullivan, and Ret. Judge Jimmy Teat.

August 4, 1938 – September 28, 2025

From labor to reward, Mr. R.B. Gipson went to be with the Lord on September 28th at the age of 87 years old. After a time of visitation, the Celebration of Life service was held on Saturday, October 4th at Paradise Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
