National Principals Month! Recognizing Danielle Copeland of J-H Elementary

October is National Principals Month, and the Jackson Parish School District (JPSD) is excited to highlight each of the area principals this month. This week Danielle Copeland of Jonesboro-Hodge Elementary School is being honored.

Ms. Copeland is entering her fourth year as principal and brings 11 years of experience in education, having taught and led in both Jackson and Bienville Parishes. Her passion for helping students began in high school when she spent summers tutoring students with dyslexia—an experience that inspired her to help all students reach their full potential.

Under her leadership, Jonesboro-Hodge Elementary was recognized as a 2023 “Comeback Campus” in ELA by Dr. Cade Brumley. Ms. Copeland loves her Tiger Family and takes pride in knowing each of her 300 students by name, helping every child feel valued and seen.

Outside of school, she enjoys being a part of the J-Hodge community where she lives, works, and worships. A fun fact—she’s a CDL holder and can even drive the school bus!

Ms. Copeland shares this message with her community:
“It is a privilege to lead a school so sentimental to me — one where I not only student taught but also obtained my first teaching position! I do not take this assignment lightly, and thank you all for trusting me with your little ones.”

Join us in thanking Ms. Copeland for her dedication and leadership at Jonesboro-Hodge Elementary!
