Lennie Jean White went to be with the Lord on October 12th, 2025, at the age of 68 years old. Following a visitation session for family and friends that was held on Saturday, October 18th, her Celebration of Life service will take place at 1:00 pm on Sunday, October 19th, at the Paradise Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro.

The life of Charles Darnell Wyatt, who after being on this earth for 74 years before passing away on October 4th, 2025, was celebrated on Saturday, October 18th, at his funeral service in the Paradise Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro.
Cherry Broomfield Young
October 20, 1947 – October 17, 2025
Cherry Broomfield Young, age 77 of Quitman, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on October 17, 202,5 at her home.
Cherry was born on October 20, 1947, in Jonesboro, Louisiana, to the late B.F. & Bessie Broomfield. She spent her devoted life to her family. Cherry was cherished as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great great-grandmother. She enjoyed helping the customers at Farm Bureau in Jonesboro for 20 ½ years before retiring. She was always ready for shopping trips, yearly family trips to Branson with a quick stop by Cracker Barrel, and yearly beach trips.
Cherry is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Travis Lee Young; her two daughters, Lori Richardson and husband Mark, and Leah Spangler and husband Jason. She also leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren, Chelsea (Daniel) Smith, Seth (Jessi) Spangler, Avery (Calvin) Martin, Hailey (Chad) McDaniel, Erin (Clint) Masters, and Blair (Jacob) Boles. Great-grandchildren Waylon, Weston, and Jentry Taylor, Caidence and Audrey Higgs, Asher and Declan Smith, Sunni Brooke Spangler, Rachel Miles, Tristan and Sydney McDaniel, Rylee and Cooper Masters, and Vivian Boles; brother Garland (Charlotte) Broomfield; sisters Lynda (late Jimmy) Terral and Shirley(Kermit) Gaar, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Cherry is preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Jarred Taylor, her parents, B.F. and Bessie Broomfield; sisters Bertha Smid, Catherine Stewart, Peggy Henderson, Dorothy Horn, and Olean Norred; brothers Norman Broomfield, Jack Broomfield, Edgar (Snookie) Broomfield, Tommy Taylor; father-in-law Travis E Young, and mother-in-law Rosa Young.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 20, 2025, at Paradise Funeral Home in Jonesboro, LA, from 5:00 -7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Paradise Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Gayla Traina Cemetery in Jonesboro.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Eddie Joe Simpson, Randall Terral, Daniel Spangler, Ricky Waller, Richie Broomfield, Justin Holt, Millard Arnold, and Donnie Knox.
Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Walker, Wayne Dell Horn, Richard Broomfield, Monty Jordan, and Marshall Jordan.
