JHHS to host North Central in first round of LHSAA Division IV Playoffs on Friday

It is called the “second season.”

What it refers to is the time of the prep football season when a select number of playoff participants from the eight divisions of “select” and “non-select” divisions of the LHSAA embark on a gauntlet of five games against the best their division has to offer for a chance to win a state championship.

Welcome to the 2025 “Road to the Dome,” which this year includes Jonesboro-Hodge High School, which, after compiling a 7-3 regular season record, has earned the #9 seed in Division IV among “non-select” schools, and will host a first round matchup against the #24 seed North Central High School.

The contest, which has been dubbed as “Black Out” night, where all Tigers fans are asked to wear black to the game, is scheduled for 7:00 pm on Friday, November 14th at Caldwell-Peacock Stadium. Ticket cost is $13.00 per person and can be purchased at: Fan.Hudl.Com/Jonesboro-Hodge.

Tailgate Time!

Celebrate the event by bringing your grills, lounging equipment, and Tiger spirit, as prior to the game, tailgating will be allowed in the designated areas of the practice field. For questions, reach out to Coach Blankenship or Coach Cash.

Pep Rally!

Join the JHHS student body, Tiger football team, Tiger Paws, and “Tropical Thunder” Marching Band for a community Pep Rally at Caldwell-Peacock Stadium on the campus of Jonesboro-Hodge High School on Thursday, November 13th at 5:30 pm. Fill the air with Tiger pride as JHHS gets ready to ROAR into the playoffs.

JHHS voted “Team of the Week”

Jonesboro-Hodge showed tremendous character and resiliency in the 18-14 victory over Glenbrook after trailing 14-0 at the half. That effort resonated among local fans who showed their support by casting their votes in the weekly KNOE-TV poll that earned the Tigers the title of “Team of the Week”.

“These kids have been fighting all year, and I’m proud of them, and the community showed by their vote that they’re proud of them too,” said JHHS head coach Terrance Blankenship.
