Ciara Gray – Jonesboro Hodge High School

The administration and athletic department of Jonesboro-Hodge High School invite you to join in the witnessing of Ciara Gray signing a track scholarship with Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge. The official proceedings will take place at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 5th, in the Library at Jonesboro-Hodge High School, located at 225 Pershing Hwy in Jonesboro.

One of the most decorated athletes in JHHS history, Gray is a two-time defending state champion in track and field, having won 2 individual LHSAA state titles in 2024 (300 hurdles, triple jump) and 4 more (long jump, triple jump, 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles) in 2025 while leading the Lady Tigers to their first-ever state title in female athletics in 2025.

Earlier this spring, Gray set a new all-time LHSAA record in the triple jump with a mark of 41’9.5″ at the Mangham Invitational and is the only triple jumper in LHSAA history to record six jumps of over 40 feet during her career.

Gray is also the JHHS and Jackson Parish all-time record holder in the 100- and 300-meter hurdles, having recorded the 10 best times in local history in both events, while also registering 6 of the 10 best-ever long jumps at JHHS and in Jackson Parish.
