Colton Blundell of Weston High School Commits to Play Baseball at South Arkansas

Colton Blundell, who helped lead Weston High School to a fourth straight Class B state baseball tournament appearance earlier this spring, has committed to continue his playing career at South Arkansas Community College in El Dorado, AR.

The son of Jamie and Nicole Blundell will be the third player from Jackson Parish to play for the Stars in 2027, joining fellow Weston High teammate Drew Browning and Hudson Pullig of Quitman High School.

“I’m beyond blessed to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Southern Arkansas Community College. Thank you to family, coaches, and everyone else who has helped me along the way. I couldn’t have done it without everyone’s support. GO STARS!” – Colton Blundell

Blundell suffered what looked like a season-ending knee injury mid-season, but refused to have his senior season end early and worked his way back to the field in time for the postseason, demonstrating tremendous character and commitment.

Despite being hampered by the painful injury, the 2026 Class B first team All-Stater impressively compiled a .391 batting average with 2 doubles, 3 triples, 2 home runs, 27 RBI, and 19 runs scored in only 69 official at-bats.
