He’s coming home! Quitman High School announces that Payton Bond has been selected as the new baseball coach for the upcoming school year. The 2016 QHS graduate returns to Jackson Parish to continue his coaching career after a six-year tenure as softball coach at Simsboro High School.

At Simsboro from 2020-26, Bond compiled a 103-85 overall record, while competing in District 1B against local schools Quitman and Weston for all but one season. Prior to his head coaching stint, Bond was an assistant at Jonesboro-Hodge and Quitman High School
