Participants who complete the course will receive a Boater Education Certificate.

Attention, everyone, young and old! Want to go fishing but don’t have a license? Then take advantage of the Free Fishing Weekend sponsored by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF), slated for Saturday and Sunday, June 6-7.

During these two days, both residents and visitors can fish in Louisiana state waters without purchasing a recreational fishing license. Take advantage of a great opportunity to fish lakes like Caney Lake in Jackson Parish and make the catch of a lifetime, or even maybe take a family member or friend who is in a nursing home on a field trip they won’t forget.
