Locals take top honors on LBCA / LSCA Class B All State Teams

Drew Browning was named the 2026 Louisiana Coaches Baseball Association Class B All-State Hitter of the Year

The Louisiana Baseball Coaches Association (LBCA) and Louisiana Softball Coaches Association(LSCA) have released their 2026 All-State teams for Class B, with nine locals being selected.

The LBCA/LSCA All-State teams are selected from Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) schools whose coaches are members of the two organizations. 

Two from Jackson Parish came away with top honors. Justin Dodson, who has led Quitman High School (QHS) to three straight Class B state championships in softball, was chosen as Coach of the Year, and Drew Browning of District 1B champion and Class B state semifinalist Weston High School (WHS) was named Hitter of the Year. 

Joining Browning on the LBCA All-State team were Weston High School teammates Colton Blundell, Hudson Pullig, and Kace West from Quitman High School.

Four more players from QHS were selected to the LSCA All-State team in senior Maggie Guyotte and sophomores Hallie Kate Pullig,  Brenna Lamkin, and Kinsley Ponder.
