A field of 30 teams competed in the annual Jackson Parish Chamber of Commerce Two-Man Scramble played Saturday at the Jackson Parish Golf Course. The winner of the championship flight with a score of 59 over the par 72 course was J.J. Culpepper and Justin Morris, who finished one stroke better than the team of Tayt Culpepper and Pete Simonelli. Finishing in third place were Brad Porter and Dwayne “Snook” Harrell.
“A big thank you goes to all who played and the ones who contributed by being hole sponsors for their support of the Jackson Parish Chamber of Commerce,” said retired JPCC Director Wilda Smith. “Also, thanks to the Jackson Parish Sheriff’s Department for once again grilling for the teams as they do every year.”
The winners of the first flight by a scorecard playoff after three teams shot a round of 68 were Chris Dodd and Rob Morrill, with Robert Price and Garrison Hill being designated to second place, and Bryan Garrett and Jack Lyles coming in third place.
Bill and Ben DeCou shot a round of 70 to win the second flight after another three-team scorecard playoff. Michael Thompson and Chuck Jurek finished in second place, with Noah Leach and Hudson Pullig taking home the third-place prize.
Additional prize winners were Brad Porter, who won the putting contest, and both Tommy Cruse and Marshall Boggs after being the closest to the two holes that were designated.
