Anyone who has ever experienced their expertise knows that the Jackson Parish Ambulance Service District (JPASD) has one of the best Emergency Medical Service departments you would ever want to find.

The administration and staff of the JPASD have always known the secret behind their success in handling medical emergencies, and now the rest of the state knows as well.

The secret was made public on Friday, June 5th, at the annual Louisiana EMS Education Conference and Expo, held at the Convention Center in Shreveport, LA, where JoLynn Smith, Lead Instructor and Operations Director of the JPASD, was named EMS Instructor of the Year.

JPASD Releases Call Report for May

June 1-7 each year is National CPR and AED Awareness Week, spotlighting how lives can be saved if more Americans know CPR and how to use an AED.

Did you know that about 70 percent of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests happen in homes? If you are called on to give CPR in an emergency, you will most likely be trying to save the life of someone you love. Be the difference for your parent, spouse, or child.
