The First Baptist Church in Jonesboro announces that, after preaching his last sermon on June 28th, Pastor Brian McAllister has stepped down from the pulpit following nine years of service to the local congregation. Pastor McAllister, his wife Melanie, and their four children are leaving after the beloved leader of the church accepted a similar position at First Baptist Church in Winnfield.

Pastor McAllister, who displayed a passion for carefully unpacking the truths of Scripture, came to First Baptist Church in Jonesboro after earning a Bachelor of Religious Education from Louisiana College in Pineville, LA, and a Master of Biblical Studies from Liberty University.
