
An entertaining schedule is in store this Wednesday and Thursday, beginning with a presentation at both the Jonesboro and Chatham branches by Steve’s Snaketuary on Wednesday, July 1, and a special 250th Birthday Party for the United States of America featuring Harvey Rabbit and Friends on Thursday, July 2nd.
NOTE: Both branches of the Jackson Parish Library will be closed on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4, in celebration of Independence Day. Normal business hours will resume on Monday, July 6th.


Still Time to Enroll in Summer Reading Challenge
The Summer Reading Program Challenge at the Jackson Parish Library is now in its fourth week. The good news is it is still not too late to participate. Earn cool prizes upon completion by signing up at either the Jonesboro or Chatham branches. You can also enroll by visiting the Jackson Parish Library website at the following link: https://www.jacksonparishlib.org.
Reading requirements are as follows:
Age Birth to 11: Read a minimum of 15 books
Age 12-18: Read a minimum of 300 minutes
Age 19 and above: Read a minimum of 360 minutes
