The Jackson Parish Chamber of Commerce (JPCC) held its monthly meeting on July 8th in the conference room of the office located at 601 South Cooper Avenue in Jonesboro, with the main point of discussion being the initial organization of the upcoming 2026 Christmas Parade.

Staying in the spirit of America celebrating it’s 250th anniversary, the board members decided that the parade theme should be “ALL AMERICAN CHRISTMAS”. In keeping with the theme, JPCC suggests that everyone decorate with both the Christmas season and the 250th anniversary in mind.

Another decision made was that ONLY AMERICAN FLAGS in the parade (no other flags will be permitted, no exceptions). If you enter with a flag other than the American flag, you will be asked to remove it or be disqualified from the parade.

The board also asks that all parents, grandparents, or others bringing children to the parade keep the small ones from running toward or in the parade’s path. While it is great that the children are excited and enjoying the parade, it is more important that everyone be safe and unharmed, so your assistance is greatly appreciated.
