Jonesboro-Hodge High School, coming off a Class A state playoff quarterfinal appearance last year and expected to have another great season in 2026, was one of several area teams featured in the Gridiron Football LLC Media Day at Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux in West Monroe, LA on Monday, July 13th.

Representing JHHS were Dylan Hayes, Tysen Burks, Michael Malone, and LonTrevious Burns, with four players, and JHHS head coach Terrance Blankenship, who sat down with Andy Bryson of Gridiron Football and 446 Sports to discuss the upcoming season.

Highlighting the interview was Bryson’s statement that the meeting with the JHHS players was a historic occasion.

“This is the first time that we have sat down with 3 players from the same team that played in the Gridiron Sports Junior High All-American game,” said Bryson.

The 2026 LHSAA varsity football season for the Jonesboro-Hodge High School (JHHS) Tigers officially kicks off on September 3, 2026, in accordance with LHSAA guidelines for Louisiana high schools. Practices for teams that played in the spring began on August 3, 2026, with jamborees taking place in late August; the Tigers will take part in the Bayou Jamb in Monroe.
