Gloria Davis

Gloria Davis, age 80, of Jonesboro, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026. She loved the Lord and shared her faith with so many. For 55 years, she faithfully served her church family by loving on and teaching children in Sunday school.
Gloria is survived by her sisters, Rita Stewart and Brenda Wilkinson; her son, Todd Davis; her sister-in-law, Linda Peevy; daughters-in-law, Lawana Davis and Jackie Davis; granddaughters, Lindey, Brittany, Victoria, and Anna; grandsons, Michael, Stephen, and Grady.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Lela Mae Thompson; her husband, Donald Davis; and her son Scott Davis.
Gloria Davis will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, July 27, 2026, at Siloam Springs Church near Wyatt, Louisiana, with Rev. Lance Huckaby officiating under the direction of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Pallbearers will be: Stephen Davis, Grady Davis, Michael Davis, Larry Peevy, Roy Thompson, and Mark Thompson.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hodge First Assembly of God Children’s Ministries.
Willie Edward Potts
June 21, 1941 – July 18, 2026
Willie Edward Potts was born on June 21, 1941, to the union of the late Fletcher and Willie Mae Bradford Potts. Raised with strong family values and faith, he lived a life marked by love for those around him. Willie had a passion for muscle cars and a gift for fixing just about anything; he was the family’s trusted mechanic and handyman long before “DIY” became a popular phrase. Whether under the hood of a car or lending a helping hand to someone in need, he approached life with determination and heart.
Throughout his journey, he touched countless lives with his wisdom, sense of humor, unwavering love, and steadfast commitment to those he held dear. Willie was a source of guidance, laughter, and encouragement, leaving an imprint on the hearts of family and friends alike. After a life rich in memories, Willie peacefully entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 18th, 2026. Though his presence will be deeply missed, his legacy of love, faith, and family will continue to inspire and live on in all who were privileged to know and love him.
Willie was united in holy matrimony to Martha Sue Flowers-Potts on December 12, 1961. To this union, a son, Kevin B. Potts, and two daughters, Sondra Y. Potts & W. Shree’ Nichols were born. He is preceded in death by his adored wife, Martha Sue Flowers Potts; his parents, Fletcher and Willie Mae Bradford Potts, and three siblings – Rosie M. Smith, Margaret P. “Maggie” Barnes, and Mildred “Lil Bit” Henderson.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories, a son, Kevin B. Potts (Kim), two daughters, Sondra Y. Potts and W. Shree’ Nichols (Eric), a special niece and nephew, Loretta Robinson (Dominic) and Lorenzo Keys (Barbara). Six grandchildren: Cassondra P. Small, Ashley C. Small, Andre J. Todd, Kobe Nichols, Adayshia & LaJyriana Jones; two special great nieces: Chermetra Keys and Nichelle Keys. Six great-grandchildren: Jordin-Ashleigh S. Small, Ladreia, Taliyah E. Denton, Yvonne S. Small, Casson E. Small, DreSean Todd, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
After a viewing was held for family and friends on Friday, July 24th, the Celebration of Life service was held on Saturday, July 25th, in the Paradise Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro, LA.
