In recognition of Tech Sergeant Brian Blackburn’s 22 years of dedicated service in the United States Air Force, the Heritage Quilt Guild (HQG) of Jonesboro was honored to present a special “Veterans Blanket” on August 5th to his family, who accepted the patriotic quilt on his behalf after his recent return from a deployment to Qatar.

Brian is the son of Dennis and Rebecca Blackburn of Quitman, formerly of Jonesboro, and a 2004 valedictorian of Bethel Christian School. He is currently stationed at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware and looks forward to retiring soon and returning home to begin organic farming.

“Show and Tell”

Always the highlight of the monthly HGG meetings, members displayed their beautiful projects during the “Show and Tell” portion of the session held on August 5th at the Jonesboro-Hodge Methodist Church. See below for a slideshow of the creative designs presented.
