The 7th/8th grade football team at Jonesboro-Hodge High School (JHHS) opened its 2026 season with a contest against LaSalle Junior High on August 27th at Caldwell-Peacock Stadium on the JHHS campus. The Tigers fell by a narrow 14-12 margin, with Carter Sanders scoring on a 50-yard fumble return and Sayvionne Mallard running 45 yards on a quarterback sweep. The junior Tigers will next be in action on September 1st when they travel to Cedar Creek in Ruston for the second of the six-game schedule. Kickoff is slated for 5:30 pm.
