Skyleigh Webb Named “Rising Star” at 2026 RusTony Awards Celebration

Celebrating the close of its 48th season, the Ruston Community Theatre (RCT) held its annual RusTony Awards Celebration on August 27th at the Dixie Center for the Arts in Ruston. Among the winners recognized during the gala event was Skyleigh Webb of Quitman, LA, who received the “Rising Star” Award for her performance as Mrs. Gloop in the production of Willy Wonka Jr. Emily and Russ Webb’s daughter was also nominated for her ensemble roles in other shows.

The evening kicked off with a live performance of the “Opening Number” from The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales, followed by a warm welcome from RCT President Britton Kilpatrick, who served as Master of Ceremonies. Audience members reveled in watching compilation photo and video slideshows from each show of the season.

In addition to awards for outstanding performances, the Kevin Cuccia Comedic Award, Helen M. Thompson Volunteer of the Year Award, and Satish Bharadvaj Creative Contribution Award were also given. The “unsung heroes” of RCT were also acknowledged in a slideshow, recognizing the countless volunteers who make the shows possible.
