The Jackson Parish School District (JPSD) is excited to introduce a new recognition program called “Staff Spotlight,” celebrating the incredible people who make Jackson Parish Schools special! This week, JPSD recognizes Cecilia Chamblee, an English Language Arts (ELA) teacher at Weston High School. Beth Gates and Joy Borders’ nomination of Mrs. Chamblee is shown below.

“She is an exceptional English Teacher who goes above and beyond for her students every day. She keeps her students engaged, makes learning meaningful, and always sees the good and potential in every student. Her kindness, encouragement, and belief in her students help them feel valued and confident. Her dedication extends far beyond her classroom. She selflessly gives her time and energy as the Junior Beta Sponsor, PTO Co-Chair, and WHS Assistant Softball Coach. She continually looks for ways to support students, families, and her school community. Her commitment, positive attitude, and willingness to serve make her an invaluable part of our school family and a truly deserving nominee.”

“CeCe” is always willing to do anything asked of her. She goes above and beyond to help and has a great attitude through it all! She has a great rapport with the students, and they love her.”
