Quitman Boys Open Cross Country Season by Taking 3rd Place at Choudrant Invitational

3rd Place at Choudrant Invitational

With three runners finishing in the top 20 and four placing in the top 25, the Quitman boys cross country team opened the 2026 LHSAA cross country season by finishing in third place in the competitive Choudrant Invitational, which saw 17 schools from all over the state participate. The girls’ team also competed, but since only four runners competed, they did not qualify for team honors.

Luke Sims led the charge for the Wolverines by finishing in 13th place in the 5000-meter race, followed closely by Josiah Ramsey and Carson Savana, who ended up in 15th and 16th place, respectively. Mason Thomas came in 23rd place, and Cooper Roton placed 42nd. In the girls’ competition, Audrina Woods made a top-20 finish by coming in 18th, with Lindsey Woods finishing in 20th and Anna Parude coming in 25th place. Emma Thomas came in 40th place overall.
