The Heritage Quilt Guild of Jonesboro held its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, September 2nd, in the Fellowship Hall of the Jonesboro-Hodge Methodist Church, located at 402 4th Street. The event featured Jackson Parish Sheriff Brent Barnett receiving a “Veteran’s Quilt” for his service in the Louisiana Army National Guard and his continued service to Jackson Parish.

HQG members also enjoyed special guest Stacey Watson’s demonstration of a sewing project board, a handy padded surface that helps keep pieces organized while you work. The session concluded with the always popular “Show and Tell” portion of the program where members share their beautful and amazing stitched creations.
