The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises motorists that both Keppler Creek bridges on LA 155, east of Quitman in Jackson Parish, are now closed. The bridges are located approximately 3.6 and 4.4 miles west of the intersection with LA 146, and immediately east of Parish Road 296/St. Rest Road.
These closures are anticipated to remain in place for about 5 months, weather permitting.
DOTD is sending this notification on behalf of the Office of Louisiana Highway Construction (OLHC), which manages construction activities for non-federal aid (NFA) routes and bridge bundle projects statewide.
Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles must use an alternate route.
Alternate Route: Detour signage will be in place.
Safety reminder:
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to drive with caution through the construction site and watch for work crews and their equipment. Remember to leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
