The Jackson Parish Police Jury held its regularly scheduled monthly meeting on Monday, September 14th, in the Nathaniel Zeno Jr. Meeting Room of the Jackson Parish Administration Building, located at 160 Industrial Drive in Jonesboro. Listed below are the actions taken by panel members Todd Culpepper (President), Lewis Chatham, Amy Magee, Sheketia Combs, Tarneshala “Niki” Cowans, Regina Rowe, and Keith Burris.

(1) Adopted the minutes of the August 10, 2026, Regular Police Jury Meeting, August 27, 2026, Special Called Meeting, monthly purchase orders, and payment of all bills.
(2) Approved Committee Reports.
(3) Adopted the minutes of the August 31, 2026, Finance Committee Meeting.
(4) Approved entering into a cleaning contract with Jani King to clean the community center.
(5) Approved installing a keypad on the front door of the community center.
(6) Adopted the minutes of the September 2, 2026, Policy and Personnel Committee meeting
(7) Approved changing the Operations Manager job title to Facility Administrator.
(8) Approved revising the current organizational chart.
(9) Adopted the minutes of the September 2, 2026, Road Committee meeting.

(12) Assistant Operations Manager Mr. Wayne Anderson gave a report.
(13) Road Supervisor Mr. Jack Williams gave a report.

(15) Solid Waste Supervisor Mr. Ed Howard gave a report.
(16) Mr. Paul Riley, The Riley Co. of Louisiana, gave the Engineering report.
(17) Mr. Rick Whidden, General Manager of Westrock Papermill (Hodge, LA), gave an update on the mill.
(18) Acted on the resolution approving the holding of an election in the Ward Two Fire Protection District of the Parish of Jackson, LA, on Saturday, December 12, 2026, to authorize the continuation of a special tax.
(18) Mr. Rick Warren announced his candidacy for District Attorney.
(19) Approved authorizing Mr. Wayne Anderson to get quotes for the new phone system and internet provider.
