The Jackson Parish Ambulance Service District is pleased to announce a new Community Overcoming Obstacles Program designed to bridge the gap in needed medical equipment for local low-income, underinsured, and uninsured citizens.

Donations are now being accepted to help stock the planned Medical Supply Closet with durable medical equipment, including wheelchairs, walkers, canes, rollators, crutches, nebulizers, knee scooters, shower chairs, shower bars, and bedside commodes. Drop off at 115 Watts Street in Jonesboro.

“We will be collecting gently used, like-new, or new items. Those in need will be able to reach out to us individually, through community resources, physician, etc.. to “borrow” the needed equipment. When the equipment is no longer needed, we ask that it be returned for the next person to be able to use.” – JPASD Administration
