The Jackson Parish School District (JPSD) is excited to introduce a new faculty recognition program this school year called “Cheer From a Peer,” celebrating the incredible teachers who make Jackson Parish Schools special! This week, JPSD recognizes Terrance Blankenship of Jonesboro-Hodge High School, who was nominated for the award by Karen Wimberly and Yuorntia Belton through the submittals shown below.

“He is truly one of a kind. There is no other like him. As my classmate, coworker, and the Athletic Director of our school, I’ve gotten to know him in many ways. Not only is he blunt and direct, but he’s a comedian without officially being a comedian. But underneath all of that, he genuinely cares about our students, especially his players. He may be brutally honest, but his care is real.”

“He is an awesome role model for our kids. They not only look up to him but they respect him. He’s an awesome person for young males to look up to and he invests his time to keep them out of trouble.”
