
The Jackson Parish School Board will hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting at 11:00 am on Monday, October 5th, in the Conference Room of the Jackson Parish School District Central Office located at 315 Pershing Hwy in Jonesboro.
Featured is the announcement of a Public Meeting to be held on Monday, November 2nd, where plans to consider and adopt a resolution ordering and calling an election to be held in the Consolidated School District #1 to authorize the levy of an ad valorem tax and the consideration of nominating an acting Superintendent.
The consideration of approving the Memorandum of Understanding with the Jackson Parish Sheriff’s Office for five (5) School Resource Officers at a cost of $220,000.00, to be paid from the General Fund, and approving the 2026-27 Pupil Progression Plan. Jackson Parish Recreation Department Director Justin Dodson will also be recognized, as well as the possible adoption of Committee items.

September 14, 2026.
Announcement of Public Meeting:
Notice is hereby given that at its meeting to be held on Monday, November 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at its
regular meeting place, the Jackson Parish School Board Office, 315 Pershing Hwy., Jonesboro,
Louisiana, the Parish School Board of the Parish of Jackson, State of Louisiana, plans to consider
adopting a resolution ordering and calling an election to be held in the Consolidated School District No.
1 of the Parish of Jackson, State of Louisiana, to authorize the levy of an ad valorem tax therein.
