The Town of Jonesboro continues to move forward with infrastructure projects designed to better enhance services and make transportation more reliable. Shown above is a sign signifying approximately $8 MILLION being invested in the future of Jonesboro’s wastewater treatment plant renovation project.

In November 2024, funding was awarded for the consolidation of the North Sewer Pond, followed by a second award in July 2025. Today, those plans are becoming reality as construction has officially begun on Jonesboro’s new wastewater treatment plant.

This major infrastructure project will help modernize our wastewater system, replace aging infrastructure, improve reliability and treatment capacity, strengthen environmental compliance, and prepare Jonesboro for future residential, commercial, and industrial growth.

Below is a picture of the road overlays that have been completed on Maple and Talton Streets in Jonesboro, which improve transportation and safety in the town of Jonesboro. Congratulations to the Town of Jonesboro for securing the funding and getting the work started, which benefits all town residents.
