Cornerstone Christian Academy Volleyball invites you to celebrate “Senior Night” when CCA plays Kingston Academy at 5:00 pm on October 13th, honoring Josie Newton, Kynnedy Newton, and Dane Stevenson.

Newton and Kynnedy have led the Lady Eagles to an impressive 11-3 record in their first year of competition in the Association of Christian Educators League (ACEL). That mark puts them in second place in the north district, which normally qualifies the CCA for the playoffs, but since this is their first year, they are ineligible for postseason play. Stevenson plays for the boys varsity team that is 3-7 this season.

In games played this past week, the CCA varsity girls beat Lake Area Homeschool out of Sulphur, LA , and the boys varsity stopped Midstate Home School from Alexandria. In junior varsity action, CCA won twice, beating Lake and Life Christian Academy, also from Sulphur.

Gracepoint Christian Academy wins!

In its first year fielding an athletic program, Gracepoint Christian Academy has taken its lumps, but the Lady Guardians have shown tremendous resilience and improvement, exemplified by a thrilling five-set victory over Freedom Life Academy in Natchitoches to improve to 3-11 in their first season of ACEL league play. In other games played last week, Gracepoint fell to Old Bethel Christian School, out of Grayson, LA, who has the best record in league play.
