The awards were announced in conjunction with Fire Prevention Week, an annual campaign that encourages communities to take steps to prevent fires and improve safety at home and in public spaces.
The inaugural CRR Excellence Award recognized the following departments:
- Bayou Blue Fire Department
- Bossier Parish Fire District No. 7
