The school may still be shuttered but there will be much activity at Caldwell-Peacock Stadium on the campus of Jonesboro-Hodge High School beginning on June 8th. That is when close to 50 hopefuls will begin to practice intent of catching the eye of head football coach and Athletic Director Terrance Blankenship.
“It has been a long time since we have been able to meet with the guys,” said Blankenship. “My staff and I are very anxious to see what kind of shape the players are in and hope they have used the time away constructively.”
The Tigers will be entering their second season in district 1-2A where they finished second last year before being eliminated in the first round of the LHSAA playoffs after two years of residing in Class A.
“I think we handled the step up in class fairly well last year,” continued Blankenship who is now entering his 7th season as the Tiger head man. “I am excited about the upcoming season as we have a lot of underclassmen who got some serious playing time last year that I am expecting to make some serious strides.”
