Jackson Parish Chamber of Commerce President, Darrell Avery, announced this past weekend that the Annual Chamber Banquet will be, August 4th. The venue is Family Life Center at First Baptist Church Jonesboro and the event will begin at 6 PM with a social hour and silent auction. The Program and dinner will begin at 7PM.
Teddy Allen, the 2022 Louisiana Sports Writers Association Distinguished Service Award winner will be the special guest speaker. Known for his tremendously funny and thought provoking wit, Allen, has been an award winning feature columnist for over 30 years including currenly working with Journal Services Inc, of which the Jackson Parish Journal is a member of.
The author of three books, Allen has been very supportive of The University Communication Department at his alma mater Louisiana Tech, since 2008, and has been part of the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame selection committee for two decades. The versatile Allen also does radio work, doing play by play and color analysis for the sports of football and baseball at Louisiana Tech
Dress for the occasion will be business dress.
Tickets will be $25 per person or a table sponsorship of $250 which allows you eight tickets. A table sponsorship allows you to be seated with friends and business associates. You are encouraged to book a reservation as soon as possible since there is a limited number of available tables. Tables are assigned after receiving payment.
Corporate Sponsorships are also available. With a corporate sponsorship your logo will be on the back of the program, your name will be on a sign at the entrance, special recognition will be given during the banquet, and the sponsorship also includes two tickets.
