
All-American Edwin Brown Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4317 and its Auxiliary has announced the 2022 winners for of its annual Outstanding Paramedic Award, Outstanding Firefighter Award, Teachers of the Year and Patriotic Art and Essay Student Competition.
This past week VFW Post 4317 Commander Philip Lawrence recognized Sandra Kay Caldwell of the Jackson Parish Ambulance Service District as Outstanding Paramedic with Troy Mason being given the Fire Fighter Award.
Ms. LaJulia Blankenship (Jonesboro-Hodge Elementary), Ms. Brandi Hasley (Quitman Junior High), and Ms. Haley Stapes (Weston High School) were honored as Teachers of the Year and 15 local students from Jonesboro-Hodge Elementary, Quitman High School and Weston High School along with North Hodge Assembly representative Kase Mathews (shown on right) received awards for placing in local, district and state essay and art competition.
